CSI Boston Board Meetings

The CSI Boston Chapter Board of Directors conducts a virtual meeting monthly from September to June on the 4^th Wednesday of each month from 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please email [email protected] to request a meeting link.

CSI Boston Programming Meetings

The CSI Boston Chapter meets monthly from September to June.  Meetings are held at the UMass Club on the 32^nd Floor of One Beacon Street in Boston, except in December and June when we hold a social event.  Our chapter meeting at the UMass Club includes:

• Networking time with tabletops from our sponsors, appetizers, and a cash bar
• Sit-down, buffet-style hot dinner prepared by the UMass Club
• Presentation by a speaker

Typical CSI meeting attendees and members are building and construction professionals including architects, engineers, manufacturer technical representatives, contractors, and students.

Limited parking available in 1 Beacon Street Parking Garage (entrance on Cambridge Street). Discounted pricing applies if parking after 4:00 pm.

Join the CSI Boston chapter in September learn about choosing products based on their material ingredients and corresponding environmental impacts. Laurel Chadzynski will speak about her experiences working with clients to navigate the complexity of prioritizing and choosing. Laurel will also discuss her work with Mindful Materials and share information about the development and use of the Common Materials Framework (CMF), which is a useful industry tool to reference for material transparency documentation. 

 

Laurel Chadzynski is a licensed architect, sustainability leader, and movement builder. Through her practice, LOOM&LEVER, she works at a variety of scales to advance transformation in the built environment - curating educational cohorts and workshops and supporting the development of local and regional material reuse infrastructure. She also convenes communities of practitioners for alignment, peer learning, and collective action through organizations and initiatives like Green Commons, Mindful Materials, and All For Reuse.
